The first couple of weeks have been wonderful and full of new experiences and routines! Everyone has settled in nicely and we are getting to know each other. This year, I would like to start a new way of communicated to the families, and I hope you will find this blog useful. I welcome feedback and any suggestions you might have.
This week, we started with learning about place value in math, and we brainstormed some of our achievable and realistic goals for the school year. The students came up with some great ones; here are a couple of examples:
We also read a great picture book, called THE IMPORTANT BOOK. Afterwards, the students shared their ideas of what makes them “important”:
